Author Biography
Karen Hesse was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 29, 1952. She married Randy Hesse before she started college. She studied poetry at college, But she also got her undergraduates degree from the University of Maryland. After college, she and her husband moved to Brattleborrow Vermont. They had two kids Rachel and Kate. She has written many children books, including Letters from Rifka. She has one many awards for some of her books.
